No one is healthy anymore at Grace Brothers...except Mr. Lucas, and he wishes he was sick so he could get the day off and keep his hot date. So, he decides to feign a cold using an onion and some carbolic soap (don't ask, just watch). Meanwhile, Mrs. Slocombe has a bad cold but she still troops in. Miss Brahms, on the other hand, just had flu shots and can't be around anyone sick. Mr. Humphries had a yoga mishap and is walking all crooked. Last, Mr. Grainger has got a touch of the gastic again. In order for the staff to carry on throughout the day, Captain Peacock rearranges things: he sends Miss Brahms over to Mens' Wear and Mr. Lucas over to Ladies' Intimate Apparel. After asking Miss Brahms to remove her cold mask, they seem to get on well. On the other hand, Mr. Lucas is plotting to get away from Mrs. Slocombe, who thinks that the liquor she is drinking will kill the cold germs but is only making them drunker. As a last ditch effort to keep the date, Mr. Lucas feigns a sprained ankle. The ploy almost works...until Mr. Grace arrives on the scene and orders Mr. Lucas taken to a hospital.
