Since Grace Brothers chronically underpays its staff, Mr. Goldberg has a sideline as an employment agent. When it's obvious that he's making a good killing, the staff decides to avail themselves of his services in the hopes of finding better jobs. Mr. Goldberg has one lead for Mrs. Slocombe, but it requires a woman who is "50-ish" and she won't admit to being more than "40-ish". She does get set up in another department store as manager of their Pussy Salon ("I'm in seventh heaven!"), and Mr. Humphries also secures a job elsewhere. Mr. Lucas's "other" job offer is to take over Mr. Humphries job once he moves on. Mr. Goldberg encourages them to get themselves fired to collect severance pay, but senior management finds out about the other jobs and offers Mrs. Slocombe and Mr. Humphries more money to stay on...then senior management themselves decide to apply for better positions through Mr. Goldberg.
