Rules for Submitting Fan Creations

All sorts of fanfics, fanart, slideshows, recording and other fan-created media (all called "fanworks") are accepted for posting at Are You Being Served? Forever under the following guidelines:

• The fanwork does not portray the characters of AYBS or their copyright holders in a derogatory light. Spoofs/satires are acceptable as long as they're done in good taste.
• The fanwork does not imply that the author(s) of it own the copyrights to Are You Being Served? and/or is making a financial profit from the fanwork.
• Please keep copyright laws in mind when creating fanworks for submission.
• No compensation, financial or otherwise, will be given for submitted fanwork.
• If they choose not to include an e-mail address in their fanwork, contributors MUST include a contact e-mail address to be kept on file with me should anyone want to contact them regarding their fanwork. I will forward any questions I receive about fanworks to that address.
• Where possible, a disclaimer will be inserted by me into every fanwork summarizing the above concerns.

Fanworks are posted "as is". Please take the time to double-check your work to make sure there's no errors or problems with it.

p>Fanworks are posted until the original author or the copyright holders (e.g., the BBC) request it to be removed.

I am not responsible for the content of individual fanworks other than that they meet the guidelines listed above. Any concerns about a specific fanwork should be addressed directly to that fanwork's author(s).

As a final note, please remember that because you created a fanfic, fanart, slideshow, etc., that the product of your endeavors is not exactly 100% yours to do with as you please. Though original story ideas and their execution may be your copyright, the characters themselves are still the property of the original copyright owners.
