That all sounds correct, Greg. Do you want us to discuss the episode now?

This is my favorite of the Christmas episodes. It has it all: a Christmas lunch, decorations, and a holiday song.

One of my favorites. I still get a kick out of Mrs Slocombe saying

Our dept has our Christmas lunch today.. If you click on repeat on Youtube, it looks like she's having a seizure. LOL>

It's absolutely my favourite Xmas episode, and maybe one of my overall favourites. Maybe top ten. It's just lovely and heartwarming without being sickeningly sweet.

They all grouch their way through the episode, as usual, then get into the spirit at the last moment. But then it's all topped off with "getting blotto". lol.

I am in agreement with coldtap about Christmas Crackers. Especially about getting " Blotto"

This is the absolute epitome of Christmas Episode of AYBS? It's got everything in it. The Christmas Lunch scene in the Canteen may be one of the best Canteen Scenes in the whole series. Fun from beginning to end, not a fan of the song but otherwise I love it

A top notch episode....probably in my top 15....love the song, especially the bit with Mash getting the overtime making it worthwhile

Sorry to see it was Larry's last episode.....his character had a nice bit of ongoing tension with several other characters, while Harman came accross to me as too nice.

Yes, there was even a bit of sexual tension with Mrs Slocombe!

It's a bit off-topic but your comment about Harman made me think of his and Mash's relationships with Humphries. Mash was by far less homophobic.

No, neither had i. Isn't that weird? With all the comparing of the two characters that I've done (Greg gives me homework ), I've never considered that before.

Ms Brahms had a bad attitude thru the whole Christmas holiday. She kept saying it was stupid what the store was doing. What a Grinch.

She was often quite grinchy. But she was young and didn't buy into the store's fuddy-duddy ideas.

I love it when she stomps down the stairs in her fairy outfit. Total Grumpy Fairy.

exactly, she was part of the young hip element of the staff. Usually this was heaped onto Lucas as the newest member of the team, but Shirley new the people on the street better than most of the rest of the staff and recognized a stupid idea when she saw one. Sadly she had to go along with it or lose her job.
