Default Another year, another time...

1. Daylight Saving Time begins in the US tomorrow (Sunday) at 2:00am. If it applies to you, sure to set your clocks ahead 1 hour before you go to sleep. If you don't know whether DST applies to you, or if you don't live in the US and want to know when you need to change your clock, go here: http://www.webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/

UK and Europe should go forward sometime this month, I think. I know that the Southern Hemisphere will be setting their clocks back around this time too.

2. Check that your e-mail address on your account is current. You may think it's not a problem now because you can still log in...but what happens when you forget your password?

3. In memory of MIE, we want to make a special point of reminding everyone to use this weekend to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and test the systems out. It only takes a few minutes to do it; it may take you longer to set your clocks ahead. If you do anything on this list, this better be it!!!

Hm, we're only changing over on March 27, apparently. Why is that? Why is this whole system so incredibly artificial? Why??

In the U S we used to change the clocks a bit later. It seems the bureaucrats have nothing else to do,but change DST.
