I kept toying with them to get a "smooth" look. Heck I haven't done one in years. I did one of the Father Christmas display which I found floating around on the net. That really pissed me off.

i wish i could do that but i don't have the software at work to do it with plus our network wouldn't allow me.

I do this at home with all-free software: BB Flashback Express to make the video and extract the frames in bitmap-format, then I use GIMP to animate the frames I've got. Very easy.
