So I almost had a flaming destruction of my Christmas pudding just like in Christmas Crackers. I ordered an individual pudding online, and I ate it last night. The instructions were to puncture the seal and microwave it. So, I punctured the seal, put it in the microwave, and turned it on. Within 5 seconds, sparks began to fill the microwave. I then realized I missed the part of the instructions that mentioned removing the foil cover first.

It seems you narrowly escaped having to call the fire brigade!

In case you miss those instructions again just don't put metal in your microwave.

I washed and dried my new hoodie at my Dad's house. Apparently his dryer runs hotter than mine and the hoodie arms are noticeably shorter. And I caught myself saying to my dad - hopefully they will ride down with wear!

Just like the sweater: re-soak the hoodie in water and hang-it up to dry. On second thoughts, the arms will lengthen, but the bottom of the hoodie might reach your knees. So, re-soak the hoodie in water, lay it across a table, but let the arms hang over the edge of the table.

"What I suggest you do is wash it again, lay it on a towel to dry in some sunlight not before 2 0'clock in the afternoon preferably with a cool westerly breeze blowing."

I will get right on this - provided the sun shines in Indiana again. Wonder if a Northern Arctic Wind works?

My M-I-L thinks that the dryer should be on Hot as Hell to dry clothes faster.
She is really old. I am younger than her until my next Birthday. We will be even in number of years.

Skip to the washer. It sometimes spurts water from the drain pipe. Water runs into the next room. Instead of using old towels on the floor to soak up the water Grandma stuffed some sheets between the washer and the wall which is only two feet long as the doorway to the next room opens at the end of the wall. The overflow went under the sheetrock wall behind the washer
On the other side of the wall is a closer. Things on the floor got wet. There is a partition in that closet that is accessed from outside. The water heater is in there. The Christmas tree is stored there. The tree was still up. The box got wet. I have not seen the mess in the other side. The drain had been cleared before we discovered the water in the closet
