I drink ice tea made from a little foil envelope. For real tea I use Tetley's British Blend tea bags. They are round for better brewing and have no string. I gave up on the tea ball after a few incidents. Besides I can't drink the whole pot by myself.

I've never really been a fan of tea (iced or regular). I don't drink coffee either (yes, I know I'm weird).

You and me both, Cat Lover. I can stomach coffee now. I don't mind Chinese restaurant tea, but any other tea, and I say "blech!". It's just the way I roll.

Different types of tea can be stronger.

In your tea cup pour in an ounce or two.

Fill cup with boiling water.

And sugar, cream, lemon, or whatever you want.

You can reuse the tea all day long by pouring some in a cup and adding boiling water.

I followed this for tea tonight- scored some PG Tips loose tea at the Amish store- This works perfect. We used the tea ball and after pouring 2 cups of tea, refilled with more boiling water! The pot stayed hot and the tea was perfect. Thanks!

A perfect cup of tea can be heaven, but a bad one is simply not worth drinking.

I Love PG Tips and Typhoo too. I can get PG Tips at Hy-Vee. (Grocery Store) On occasion I too can get Typhoo. My favorite teas are from Whittard Of Chelsea.(Summer Pudding and Apple Crumble) It is more expensive so I don't get it very often. I also like Twinings especially their Earl Grey. I use a tea kettle on the stove to heat my water to a boil. How long I steep the teabag depends on the tea. I like it with sweetner, lemon, and milk not always at the same time depending on the tea.

I'm more of a herbal tea fan. When I do drink black tea, it's pretty much Lipton, Twinings or Bigelow. Brewed strong with lemon and lots of sugar or honey. No milk.

According to the Guardian, the British Standards Institute is currently reviewing the official, six-page specification on how to make a cup of tea:
