Q. What's the difference between a bagpipe and an onion?
A. No one cries when you chop up a bagpipe.
That posted to break the ice....I happen to ADORE bagpipe music. One of my neighbors plays, and he practices every Monday night around 8 pm. My living room windows open, I can celebrate my Brit heritage with my toes tapping.
Do you enjoy the sound of bagpipes??

Being of Scottish heritage, of course I do. I have a few CD's of bagpipe music I kick out every once and a while.

I like the pipes...they're great for headaches.
Not cure them, give them
re: bagpipes -- The Irish invented them and gave them to the Scots as a joke, and the Scots haven't seen the joke yet.
Question: What's the difference between a bagpipe and a trampoline?
Answer: You take your shoes off when you jump on a trampoline.
"The sound of bagpipes (burning on a stove)
warms the heart"
A piper parking his car at the foot of Glencoe forgot to lock his door. Unfortunately he left a set of brand new bagpipes in the back of his vehicle. When he returned there were two sets of pipes on the back seat.
sorry couldn't resist; haven't had a chance to use bagpipe jokes in years

I only like very, very small doses of bagpipes, like in Wings' Mull of Kintyre, or BeeGees Alone.
Otherwise, I'd like to add 'em to sage and onion stuffing!

One half of my heritage is Aberdeen Scots (Burnett) so that must be why I love the pipes. I like nothing better than a multi-piped rendition of "Scotland the Brave".

I LOVE bagpipes! I acutally own a chanter (the beginning instrument for the bagpipes), but I haven't learned to play it yet.
And I'll stop if I see someone playing the pipes, I even saw a cop (here in NC) at a crosswalk carrying one. :)

One of these days I'll have to do a transcript of the Charlie Prose joke having to do with a Scotsman who has a kilt made for himself and has some leftover material, so he has a pair of underwear made to go with it.
He goes to show the kilt and underwear off to his girlfriend and doesn't realize that he forgot to wear his undies before he lifts up the kilt and shows what he's got under there to her.
