The new forum gives you the option of having an e-mail notification sent to you whenever you get a reply to one of your message and/or receive a private message.
To turn this feature on/off for your account, go to your Profile, scroll down until you see "Always notify me of replies" and "Notify on new Private Message". If you don't want to get an e-mail for each one, select "No". If you want an e-mail, select "Yes".
Those are global settings. You can override those settings for a specific post if you need to. When you're posting, underneath the text box is a list of options. Just check/uncheck "Notify me when a reply is posted" depending on what you want.
My personal policy regarding e-mail is that I don't like writing you unless I absolutely have to, hence my paragraph and a half of apologies and disclaimers whenever you hear from me :) So if you are receiving excessive e-mail from the board, you have my blessing to turn it off :D
