This is very important: when registering, members need to make sure that the e-mail address on their accounts are correct. Also, if you change e-mail addresses, make sure to change it here too so your account is kept up-to-date.
If you forget your password and request it to be sent to you, it will only be sent to the address you have on file...and if that address is incorrect or not working, you won't receive the password and will be stuck.
Your password is encrypted in the database, so I can't look it up for you. And for security reasons, I will NOT alter the e-mail address on your account, no matter who you are--no exceptions.
So if you haven't checked your account lately, check it now to make sure that your e-mail address is correct :)

I'm bumping this topic up since I recently changed the registration procedure to drop the e-mail verification step.
Also, take this time to check not only that your e-mail address is correct but that it is current as well. The last thing you'd want is for your password reminder or other messages from the board to go to an account that you rarely/no longer use or no longer have access to...especially if you realize after you forget your password that you never updated the e-mail addy on your account!

I have a question...
You just rememinded me that I forgot to change my e-mail addy when I moved. I went to the "User CP" to change it and it wouldn't let me. It said that my password didn't match my old one.
I DIDN'T TOUCH THE PASSWORD !!!!

Something must be working because you're logged in...so I'm guessing you mistyped it. Try it again.

Just a re-reminder: I've been getting more e-mails bounced back to me than usual because of bad e-mail addresses. Remember, if your e-mail address is incorrect or no longer valid and you forget your password, you may end up locking yourself out of your account! That's because your password will get set only to the address on your account, no exceptions.
So take a minute or two to check and make sure your address us up-to-date :)
