I have been to a few company Christmas parties in my day but none sound like as much fun as described in this show!

Seems like Captain Peacock had everyone in the closet with his blow tickler!

I've had a few REALLY good Christmas parties at my work (Toys R Us) ... some of them could even be compared to the ones had by AYBS 8)

The last one we had, we went to a lounge/bowling alley and by the end of the night four of us (me included) ended up standing in a circle passing gum to each other using only our mouths LOL This is definetly something that Mrs. Slocombe would have tried with all of the male staff at Grace Bros.

How comes no one wanted me to go in a closet with them and play "Sardines" ??????

I do wonder how the blancmange ended up down that shirt, and why Peacock thought he'd be all right retrieving it :)

One of the best work Christmas parties I went to was the year we had it at the Copacabana in NYC. It was amazing: several hundred of us in there, lots of food, lots more drink, all in such a landmark club.

I didn't take part in any Grace Brothers-esque happenings though ;)

One of my favorite Christmas parties seems to have been several parties over a period of about four years. I was working in Southern California and the business that employed me had three shifts of workers report to work for the day shift on Christmas Eve.It was hard to get any work done with so many people in the place so we hardly got any work done. Each department had their own little stash of booze. Some of us were able to visit all of the departments. Food was served at noon and all pretense of work ceased then. Somehow I don't remember much of the afternoon activities. One year we all ended up at someone's apartment swimming pool .Some of us swam in shorts, some didn't.

You guys sure sound lucky with the great Christmas Parties. I used to work for WalMart and the Christmas parties our store had were boring. One year they even made us have it in the backroom of the store!

I can picture it now: cold cuts from the deli department, a veg plate and ranch dressing from the produce dept. and Sams soft drinks ...lol

Our one Christmas party we had in the store (I work at Arby's) and we played Pictionary and Guesstures.

My boss was so funny acting out charades. Very different thatn he is at work.

We also had a gift exchange.
We had a party at Halloween time this year and we all had to dress up and went bowling. My boss was Otto from the Simpson's.

The one place I worked at we had a Christmas party at this posh type resturant that had a very nice bar in it. Well they had Karokee that night and everyone was prodding me to get up and sing "Running Bear" (a Native American type song). Well, after my drink was finished, I stepped up to the mic and belted out one hell of a version of the Beatles - Come Together. By the time I was done, eveyone from the bar had migrated to the stage area and I got a stand ovation. I handed the mic bac to the Karokee dude and he said to me, "You've done this before???" and I said "NO, acutally it was my first time." (which it was) !!!!!
TRUE STORY !!!!!

I have attended 2 Christmas Parties so far, and they were really fun! The food was delicious and it was great getting to be with your working pals in a non-stressful environment. I'm looking forward to next year's party!

I'm looking forward to next year's party!

It seems Christmas is nearly here. I saw the neighbors putting up their lights today. Or were they taking them down?

I don't work put I did go to a Christmas Party. It was a Big Brothers Big Sisters party for little children who had big brother and sisters. It was fun. They had dance music, and lots of food. I remember just as if it was yesterday. I ran up to the disc jockey and requested the song 'All My Loving' by the Beatles and the disc jockey looked just like John Lennon. I fell in love with him. :tophat: I wish I was thier again.
