I had a pretty crappy day yesterday...there was a fight in the classroom I was in and one of the kids kept running out of the room the...whole...day...long. I was in BD (Behavior Disorder) class and I truly love those kids- more than advanced placement kids. I knew that their behavior yesterday was not due to anything I had done, nor failed to do, but that didn't stop me from doing that fatal thing in sunstitute teacher-dom...taking it personally. This week I'm in the Red Tent, so that played havoc with me as well. I'm sorry if I had a pity party and dragged y'all to it! Forgive me?

Sonosun, you're lucky we're not in Michigan. I could give you a swirly and blame it on a biblical passage.

Thanks, y'all....today was much better. Got to talk about concerts and Jersey stuff and some students "took me there"! Talking about chili dogs and all sorts of "How do I get out of this convo' " LOL I finished the book I was reading...whew! Now I can start on Wendy Richard, No S. Looking forward to that.
Kids always ask why do i read so much, they think reading is boring. I answer,"Then stop reading boring crap! You don't go to Golden Corral and only eat mashed potatoes, white rice and crackers, do you? Then why would you torture yourself slogging through a boring book? If I start reading a book and by the end of Chapter 1 the author is still talking gibberish, I'm done." Tossed several books (Dr. Phil and some others recommended by church people) for that exact reason!!
