Hmm...i'm not a huge fan of xmas/holiday movies as a whole, unless I'm really in the mood for some "holiday cheer"...but I've always like the old "rudolf the red-nosed reindeer" (the one with Burl ives as the snowman's voice.) I just like the nerdy elf Herbie and when Rudolf says (in an oh-so-annoying voice,) "I'm cute! She thinks I'm cuuuute!"

Actually it's not a movie but I am quickly wearing out my videotape of the Xmas episode of Keeping up Appearances where Hyacinth makes Richard dress up as Father Christmas. Gotta love that one !("I cannot abide people who put merry xmas on their greetings cards...especially when they spell Merrie with an I and an E." )It's one of my top 5 fave KUA episodes so i guess even if it's not a movie, THAT's my fave holiday-themed program. :) Oh, I also like the movie "Love, Actually" which is basically holiday themed, though not a "classic" or traditional xmas movie.

I don't if you'd consider this a Christmas movie, but I love to watch Doris Day and Frank Sinatra in Young At Heart.

There's a very happy Christmas scene at the end of the movie that warms your heart.

I love the movie.

In no particular order:

White Christmas
Holiday Inn
Charlie Brown Christmas
Donovan's Reef (not really a Christmas movie per se but takes place around Christmas)
A Christmas Story
Babes in Toyland (residual memories from when I was a kid)

One's I don't particularly care for:
Its a Wonderful Life
Miracle on 34th St.

For me, the Christmas season doesn't begin until I watch "A Blackadder Christmas Carol" :D

"White Christmas" is the hubby's favorite. And of course, you have to have the "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" cartoon and Rankin Bass' "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer".

Scrooge-Alistair Sim.

Just watched this one last night. Got the DVD with the "colorized" version on one side and the "B&W" version on the other. One of my favorite versions of "The Christmas Carol" !!!!!

I totally agree and here's a fun little blooper I noticed when I watched it again last night. When Scrooge wakes up Christmas morning and is getting giddy with his housemaid, he goes over in front of his mirror. As he's looking in the mirror, you can see a man standing in the background in the mirror. Check it out !!!

I also love..
"Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol"
Rudolph
Charlie Brown
Frosty
The Year Without A Santa Claus

Magoo's is without a doubt a Cartoon Christmas Classic. I also like
the Disney CC with Scrooge McDuck as Scooge.
And the muppets CC with Michael Caine...

White Christmas

A Christmas Carol (1984) starring George C. Scott (A Christmas tradition at my house is for my sister to come over for "Scrooge and Soup." We have a soup supper and then we watch this favorite.)

The Christmas Visitor (a Disney movie about a family living in Australia who are not having much luck with their sheep farm, especially during a long draught.)

The Are You Being Served Christmas episodes, of course.

AND this year I found in my stocking on Christmas morning a DVD of the "Are You Being Served: The Movie." :D I'm sure it will become a favorite to be watched at Christmas and other times of the year as well.

I also love the George C. Scott version. I have a couple of different versions of "The Christmas Carol". It's my all time favorite story. It always makes me feel there still hope for me.
