All the British comedies were obliterated this weekend. No AYBS fix.

Mine have been off for the past week and a half! Tonight's the first night without pledges....I've missed my late night AYBS!

I'm not crazy about pledge time either...

BUT THIS...is how they add the extra shows to the list that they play...

This is where we get our dose of BRIT-COMS...

So please make a pledge every-now and then...

And be Thankful that your PBS is showing AYBS?

Ans please enjoy the other great shows on PBS.

My local PBS has one of the most efficient Pledge Drives on an ongoing basis, but somehow they can't find the money or the will to run AYBS?

HOLY COW!! "Celebrating Mollie Sugden" is coming on at 12 midnight on my PBS station! I can't believe they show THIS special during pledge time....and do NOT carry AYBS?! It makes NO SENSE!! The only thing I can hope is that they're testing the market and seeing if there are requests for it. If they air it...THEN I may donate. If no one has had the pleasure of seeing AYBS? on my public TV station....why the hell are they gonna care about a special on Mollie.... And yes...of COURSE I will watch the special even though I have the DVD's! Obsessed....of course!! :shake:

Recently, my PBS Station did a marathon with disco singers and I loved it! Minus the part where they talked about pledges and stuff.

My old PBS station never did the "pledge week every three months" bit. Instead, they took the month of February and made that one big pledge drive. They call it "Festival" and trot out all sorts of special events and shows. I like it, since it's more than just "we need money" whining.

It gets me donating, especially since I know that for the rest of the year, there may be only one other pledge drive max.

My current PBS station shows me NO Britcoms. Bah.

PBS ought to stand for public bull sh__!!!! They get you to pledge,
with the pretense that your voteing for your favorite shows, and what
do they do after the drive is over?? They drop nearly all of the brit coms in our local viewing area!!! I would'nt give them another dime!!!

OT: There's a great Simpsons episode that relates to PBS Pledge drives. I don't watch that show often, but that episode was hilarious!
