This past Saturday my PBS station ran a 2-hour special about Fawlty Towers. John Howard Davies (the director) was in one of the PBC studios answering questions and telling some neat stories about the show. There was also an interview with John Cleese shot on location in England somewhere. The special will probably air on all the PBS stations eventually, so if you like Fawlty Towers you should enjoy this special.

Yes, they were married years ago, i think they wrote the show together.

Am i right in thinking there was an American version of Fawlty Towers??

The first season was written while they were still married. The second one was written right after their divorce.

I hope we here didn't do a "Fawlty Towers". I love my country but we destroy any foreign show we try to do.
