Has anybody ever considered an episode a favorite, only to decide later it's not so hot? Or gone from hating an episode to loving it?

For example, I had long considered "Happy Returns" a classic, but I caught it last night and was struck by how dull the rehearsal scene was compared to many of the other "let's put on a show" eps.

Has anyone else had this happen?

When I first saw the episode Top Hat and Tails, I thought it was boring and seemed to drag on and on. I saw it again and decided it wasn't so bad. After a few more watches, the eppy became one of my favourites. It's amazing how opinions can change over the years.

Well OLT, Happy Returns ...... to me, shows off the crews talent to a lot more than acting. And after seeing it the second time it went up.

And I wish that my thoughts on Top Hat & Tails ...... would have increased . But, it didn't. After seeing it the first 2 times. Then it went started down.

I hated the latter series completely awhile ago but some of the eppys have grown on me after awhile.

mine's not actually a specific episode, but still, here it is...

when i first got into watching the show, i didn't mind the reveal of outrageous outfits (mainly worn by mr humphries), but the more i watched it, the more it irritated me that there just seemed to be any excuse to do it...

hope that makes sense to people who read it! (just thought i'd add it now as i'm watching friends and neighbours, and it happens a few times at the start of the ep!)

I used to avoid watching "The Hand of Fate," but a couple of years ago I watched it again after a long hiatus and found many of the jokes to be quite funnny. I enjoy watching it now.

I remember I used to really like "The Hold Up" but over time, I find its gotten really dry and stale for me, and I don't laugh at it the way that i used to.

I tend to stick with the ones I love/like/tolerate. It's rare for an episode to swtich from one column to another.

I have a mixed opinion on the episode 'The Hero'. I think it's an amusing episode, but the whole wrestling match thing to me is where the show officially jumped the shark (https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Jumped_the_shark).

While it was never my favorite, I used to like "Punch and Judy" the first few times I saw it. But now I fall asleep through it every time.

Since I loved most all of them at the start, none have really got better.

I will say that when I saw the first episodes ever the show, I thought Mrs. Slocombe was nothing but a bitter battle-ax, but as the shows went on she became more and more endearing.

When I first watched "Founders Day" I was never very keen on it all. Then when I saw it again sometime later I thought "Actually it's not so bad afterall"

Punch and Judy holds a special place for me as its the last time we get to see Mr. Lucas.
