I thought Mr. Luca just had a gap between the center teeth on the bottom row.

I must be weird ( I know, that sounded strange.) because I never thought to look at their teeth, but I guess I will look out next time.

Even though that their teeths are not perfect I think they all have lovely smiles. :)
I like Miss. Brahms straight teeth. Her discolored teeth is probably from smoking. Wendy admitted that she really smokes offscreen.

I believe there teeth give each one of them there distinct character! Where would AYBS fan's be without seeing Mr H without that gap! Mr Grainger without the denture's that came in so handy in a couple of episodes like Big Brother and the raspberry seed's and Camping In with them in a glass by the tent flap. I for one happen to love each character for all of there little imperfections. Let's us know the world is not perfect. Thank goodness.

I did a thread on the Old Board about Lucas's Tooth problem. I think it was Season 3 where it was noticable but when Season 4 rolls around, he got it fixed.

I like the fact that they were imperfect, especially in the teeth area. It's a breath of fresh air to see people on tv that are actually human, as opposed to hollywood today where everyone is plastic and has glowing white teeth. .. That's one thing about British tv.. for the most part, they have REAL people on their tellys.. .. That's one of the biggest factors of why I enjoy Brit tv so much. Look at KUA, no one looking plastic and perfect there (much to Hiacynth's dismay  ), ATGB - same thing, real people, Eastenders - great example of non-typical (in hollywood's eyes) actors.. I could go on, but I think you get my point.. .. just my .02 cents on the matter.. not that it's worth anything....

Her own bad teeth would have sufficed.

It's curious that Inman covered his bald head but didn't get his teeth fixed.

It's funny when his "mother" comes to visit and takes a look at the bite in his cake (or whatever he was eating) and she says something to the effect of ..bad boy not making his dentist appointment.

I don't think the British are anywhere near as vain as we Americans are. That's why I love British shows because everyone looks natural (bad teeth, weight problems, etc.).

I've oft commented on "Brit teeth" which seems to prevail quite a bit on TV. I think it's unfortunate that many (older) British actors have poor teeth. Let's keep in mind that they could have grown up poor, or not have had dental insurance or access to good dentists. "Back then" they didn't have the miracle whiteners. The latest trend among actors these days I call "Toilet Teeth"--the teeth are bleached so white they resemble a commode--upper "seat" and lower. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "potty mouth." :o That's almost as bad as yellow ones. Add to the list the worst of all...either Kenneth Wallers's OWN bad teeth...... ....or a mouth piece that made OMG look as though his teeth were rotting. Either way, it looks like he had really bad breath.

I read that it was once believed that people who have a gap between their two front teeth have a strong sexual appetite :o

Unfortunately, it seems people are resorting to these types of tatics. My husband said they did similiar things before moving to the states as they just couldn't afford it.

Interesting. It's just really hard to believe and very sad too since it really is a very big problem there and puts people needlessly through agony since I'm sure most of you have felt a toothache!
It really makes you appreciate the dentistry here in the US even though they always seem to find a cavity every time I go there. At least they can take care of those quicker here before it really becomes a painful problem because they catch them quickly.
