This news seems to have been greeted with a rush of apathy from the media. This man was a legend, where's the TV tributes.

I talked with my friend Sue last Friday. :D

Sue was a friend of Sir Norman, and she wanted to know whether his comedy had been popular in America. I had to tell her that he was practically unknown over here. I mentioned how odd I found it that he'd been so popular in Albania, of all places, and she mentioned that he'd gone over there several times for personal appearances.

Sue was saddened by his passing, but realized he'd had a very long and successful life: "He was 95, so he'd had a good innings, but it was still a sad day for British comedy," she said to me.
