With the way Mrs. Slocombe complains in "Camping In" about the
sleeping on the floor, tents, not sharing a tent with Miss Brahms ect ... would it have gotten to the point that you would have told her just to go to a motel or walk the hell home ?

Even though she was being a pain - somehow you loved her while she was doing it.

The first time I watched Camping In I expected Mrs Slocombe to invade Captain Peacock's tent.

I would have told her to shut her cake hole and deal with it.

I'm surprised she didn't nip into Captain Peacock's tent herself, to sleep, and let Miss Brahms have the large tent to herself. :p

Well since Captain Peacock told Mr. Rumbold i would have thought that he would have insisted that Ms. Brahms share with her.

Slocombe comes off as a very high maintenance, high end, "detached house" woman. Since this was one of the earlier episodes, Croft and Lloyd were probably trying to establish her as such. Thus explaining her endless complaining and ceaseless criticism.

But you still want to give her a bat round the ole ear 'ole don't you ?
