Out of all the new characters introduced in "Grace and Favor" who is your favorite? Mine would have to be Mavis with her father in a close second.

We all know who Captain Peacock's favorite new character was: Jessica Lovelock. "Ah, just the name...Jessica."

As for me, it would probably be Mavis. She was so cute.

I like Malcolm. He was both a former love interest for Mavis and a self-proclaimed enemy of Mr. Humphries. His character could have been used for many more plot twists.

Mavis is my favorite new character and her Dad would have to be next or maybe the other way 'round.

I really like both Moulterds, but I have to admit Mr. Moulterd's character was basically just a replacement of Mash/Harman. Mavis was truly a new character not seen before in the AYBS universe, so I guess she gets my vote.

I'll say Jessica Lovelock. Was there any doubt??

Tiddles isn't a new character! She was just unseen up until G&F :D My favourite new character would have to be Mavis, because we'd never really seen a woman with a crush on Mr Humphries before - excepting Mrs Slocombe, of course

They went through a couple "Tiddles" throughout the run of AYBS? so it may very well be a "new" Tiddles.
As far as the other characters .. I dunno. Mr. Moleterd was nothing more than an annoying character like Mr. Harman. Mavis was OK but annoying at times and Lovelock was just a total unlikable bitch (but with a very smoking hot body).

Mavis.....by a country mile (pun intended).

Very dynamic character and performance....and that accent is incredible.

The one time I saw that pic before was when you posted "It's Sue Bishop" in the Take a Piece Of the set thread. It's still there. Other than that I can plainly see that it's Joanne Heywood.

I like Jessica too, but probably not for the same reasons that you do ;) She was young enough to give the place some life and feisty enough to fend off both Peacock's advances and Slocombe's jabs.

Mavis and her dad for sure. They both provided plenty of humor in their own ways!

mavis always makes me laugh with the random things she did and said, like painting the faces on the eggs to show how hard or soft they were

I like Mavis. How many other women can brag that they share a bed with Mr. Humphries?

I wasn't really thrilled with any of the new characters. Mr. Moulterd gets on my last nerve - worse than Harman and Mash put together. I think I'll go with Mr. Slocombe - it would have been interesting if he had at least moved to the area and created some relief from Moulterd.

I had always wanted that episode to go differently. I wished that he would say how sorry he was that he had left his wife, and then Mrs. Slocombe would tell him who she really was, and they would be a couple again.

Mavis was lovely. I saw that Fleur Bennett was playing that role. Was Fleur related to Harold Bennett (Young Mr. Grace) in any way?

Miss Lovelock was a cracker, I think it's quite normal that Peacock was attracted to her.

I don't know?!? I wonder why I haven't wondered that myself. I have wondered wither or not Mavis was YMG's love-child with Mrs. Moulterd. He did own the place after all.

I often wandered what Mavis' mother looked. I think she must be quite hansom, because Mavis is to. Makes you wonder what she saw in Maurice Moulterd.

Mavis. I did think she was annoying at times, but overall I rather liked her.

I like Mavis...she has an innocence about her.
Mr. Moulterd was funny always coming into the kitchen with his 'sorry to interrupt ya with your snouts in the trough..' His accent cracks me up!
