Pardon me if this topic has been addressed already, but I read that the AYBS? pilot episode has been returned to full color by some sort of process. Has anyone seen it of heard anything about it?

Look no further, Mr. Crowley- it's here on YouTube, complete with Comedy Playhouse intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5yghL1_Uq4
The process somehow could figure out the original color from the tone of gray on the copy. I don't know if there's a name for it.

The ..... Pilot ..... was made in color and black & white.
But, the color one grew legs and walked off.
:? Or got tossed or recorded over.
But, I did hear something a year or so ago, that someone was hoping to recolor the ..... Pilot.
Just look at every movie, that Ted Turner has had colored.

And Thanks ... OLT !

It is called "colour recovery". Nothing like the Ted Turner type colorization process thankfully. The difference being that the Turner process mostly came from guesswork.

It was recorded over. Remember that "The Pilot" was just another entry in the "Comedy Playhouse" series. No one every thought it would have made it to a first series let alone 10 so they just reused the tape it was originally recorded on.
