This is a good episode, but it really is just a setup for the trial episode that follows. It might have done the series better with ratings and attracting an audience if they had put the two episodes together as an hour-long special.

 I love the judge/magistrate giving him hard time!
By the way, when it is pointed out in court that the cart owner was "taking a slash" I get what they mean, but can anyone explain why that means what it means?

Cheeky!
The entire "Mavis and Mr. Humphries" situation really gets kick started in this episode. Some really great lines, too.

I like the opening scene with Mrs. Slocombe, Mavis, and Mr. Humphries.
"I can't find my knickers nowhere! Will you ask Mr. Humphries if I left them under his pillow?"

The thought of anything happening between Mavis and Humphries makes me want to throw up honestly.

I am disappointed that they didn't have a scene or the newspaper photo of Mrs. Slocombe in the cart when it went by the Post Office with her bloomers in the air.
Several times in the series they pretended to look at pictures in the paper and describe them. I wish they would have showed the photos. I would have liked to have seen the award-winning turnip that looked like Rumbold, too.
