Is the chat room only for official chatting or can we use it anytime?....I am
thinking of checking the chat room everytime I see other people are
on the board. Is that ok?

FD that is a good idea. Some folks will like to chat and some won't. :hat:

I know, sorry about the short notice in the chat session announcement. It was my fault: real life had its wicked way with me and I wasn't able to get online much the last two weeks. Future planned chats will have at least a few days announcement time.

The chat room is available 24/7, so if you're looking for someone to chat with anytime, you can leave a message in AYBS Chat saying that you're in the chatroom and "come on in and join me!".

I will be working on a How-To guide for it but it's really not hard to use--I bet that after 10 minutes of using it you will be pros :)

Thanks Minki!

After I got on, it was easy as 1-2-3 to use. I really like the features and I had a lot of fun the other night. Thanks again!

Is the chat room only for official chatting or can we use it anytime

People under the age of 18 will be using the chat room "at their own risk" if no moderators are present. This pretty much goes for people over 18, as well. This is the internet, and we need to be careful. We all seem to be very nice people on this group, but like I said, take care using the chat room, people. Do not disclose personal information like your name, and where you live. Chatting can be fun...let's also keep it safe. If you have any problems with posters, report them to Minki, or to me. Thanks. Happy Chatting! ~~Tids

Good points, Tids...and when we finally get over 3 people in the room at the same time....it'll be very important to keep those things in mind.

Actually, anyone uses the chat room at their own risk regardless of how old they are. I, my staff nor my web host are not responsible for anything that happens in chat, regardless of whether any of us are present in the room at the time.

Most people that you meet online are good eggs and my chat room is probably a fairly safe place to be, so I wouldn't get worried--you'll probably have a lot of fun in there and be perfectly fine :) However, that doesn't mean an unscrupulous person won't ever decide to get curious and pop by the room. That's the downside of the internet: it's very easy to misrepresent yourself, and it can be very hard to track down troublemakers since they can change their online identities as easy as they change their socks.

So, basically think about how you'd act and what you'd say if we were all really sitting with each other, in person, in the same room...then that's how you should act in chat. If you won't reveal private identifying info to us in person, then doing it in chat is not a good idea.

For the under 18s: you should get your parents' or guardians' permission before chatting. No, I will not ask to see a letter from them :) But I will take your participation here and in chat as meaning that you have obtained their permission.

I had a very excellent time tonight with Frank and LovelyMissShirleyBrahms. LMSB and I did a really awesome roleplay game with Miss.Brahms and her little sister. We're going to start writing scripts next, we were that good! Had a blast, hope to do it again next week!
