I voted for Mr Humphries! She even had dreams about him! Plus he was the one willing to marry her when she thought tiddles was lost!

LOL, I went for Harman/Mash.
See, underneath I believe Mrs.Slocombe isn't the high class lady she claims to be. Her voice and facial expressions can sometimes resemble those of a lower class person when she becomes angry. I can picture her going for a normal person like Mash or Harman. Also, they were loaded with money, so she'd have some spending money!

Gotta be YMG....she was actually considering Marrying him (for whatever reasons) in Wedding Bells.
Peacock is history
Humphries is nice but not her type
Lucas-- she was only slightly attracted to him in the beginning..which apparently is the same for ANY man
Harman and Mash were too earthy and beneather her.
Rumbold, you've got to be kidding.
OMG -- past it.
Tebbs/Grainger past it.
Goldberg is nice but married.
Spooner I noticed didn't even make the cut (at least not by name). He is too vocal and critical for her...of her for her to have any interest...other than as a groupie/backing vocalist.
And who is Al and why did they eat him?

Quote Frankdicer: "And who is Al and why did they eat him?"

Spooner didn't make the cut because he became too famous as a singer and she couldn't stand a chance with him.

Rumbold, you've got to be kidding.
Now not so fast! She loosened up his tie and called him "love" when he was being wheeled off to the hospital after those deadly meringues!

You are quite correct. I'd forgotten that. Still, what was it Peacock said about
Rumbold when he was supposedly chasing Peacock's wife?
He's about as romantic as _______..... memory fails at that point.

"DONALD DUCK!!"
 Of course..I was kidding about Rumbold. After all, Mrs. S. said it best herself in one ep...when they were playing customers together...a married couple.
"Why are you holding my hand?"
"You are my wife!"
"What do you think I am going to do...RUN AWAY  ?"
And then also she makes it clear by saying "It must be MAGIC being married to YOU... "

[color=blue]Tebbs and Grainger were both married as well.
But they weren't so nice...come to think of it...Rumbold married, Peacock Married, Mash Married, Harmon Married......The Hussy!
Very Young Mr Grace

Oh, if only Young Mr. Grace had asked for her hand in marriage! Of course, she saved face and told the staff she turned him down!

Episodes like "The Apartment" and "Lost and Found" lead me to believe that it was Humphries.

I have a 1% shipper in me that says Mr Humphries and Mrs Slocham belong together due to the Apartment.
Hey it was Humphries in the end that wanted to share her bed

Of course it was Mr. Humphries...she wanted him and he didn't put up a fight he was going to marry her in the eppy when her pussy was lost. That's as close as he could come...at the time anyway...

I voted Peacock, I think he got the most come hither looks from her throughout the run!
I don't recall any sign of her being interested in Mr Grainger and his successors - nor of Mr Mash nor Mr Harmon. Clearly her interest in YMG is only for the money.
So to me the only real candidates are Captain Peacock, Mr Lucas and Mr Humphries - and I would say Mr Lucas MOST of all because he is young and good looking and likely to be most active in the bedroom department. If he hadn't been so rude to her I'm sure she would have pursued him more...

Captain Peacock's Carnation

In the early episodes Mrs. Slocombe clearly wanted Mr. Lucas. Later on though the most likely romance would have been with Captain Peacock.

In spite of Mr Goldberg taking her to the pictures, I think Mr H was closest, he did come to her bedroom, he flirted openly at the ballet, and "proposed". Alas, doomed to platonic support.
Sir Humphries

I would have voted for Mr. Humphries, but I agree that he was more of a fantasy to her. She wanted him, but knew it was likely to never happen.
So I went with Captain Peacock because he was closer to her age and because they once had a past together. After all, Captain Peacock was unhappy with his wife, so I think Mrs. Slocombe hoped to someday become Mrs. Peacock.
I doubt she would have, but I feel she wanted to have more power. If she couldn't have Young Mr. Grace, I think she would go after the next best thing.

A pretty picture indeed!
I was torn between Mr Humphries and Capt. Peacock, but I went for Peacock too. I think all through the series she had a bit of soft spot for him (even though they annoyed each other!) plus in the movie she was crazy about him
