I was wondering whether anybody here likes New Tricks - it's a BBC comedy/drama and it's absolutely brilliant. It has six series up to date, and at least two more to come. It follows Detective Superintendent Sandra Pullman, who leads a team of retired police officers solving so-called 'cold cases', that have remained unsolved for a number of years.

So I guess what I'm really saying here is, you should all watch New Tricks... though I don't know if it's been broadcast in the US or elsewhere.

It's been on the telly here for about four or five months. I think the date on the latest episode was 2005. I'm hooked. You really get interested in the characters - all their quirks and failings.

What channel - PBS, or BBC America (or as I call it, the "Top Gear/Gordon Ramsey/Cash in the Attic Channel")?

PBS. Have thought about getting cable just for BBC America, but have heard from numerous people that it's pretty much as you describe it and not what I probably think it is. I would like to see MI-5 and The Bill though. And Torchwood, too.

True. They're all so utterly imperfect that you can't help but love them :)
