You know this matters to me when I get up from my H1N1 induced coma to post this :) I'm actually feeling much better though.
1. Daylight Saving Time ends in the US tomorrow (Sunday) at 2:00am. Be sure to set your clocks 1 hour back before you go to sleep...unless you live in Arizona, Hawaii, or certain part of Indiana.
UK/Europe: you already came off of DST.
Southern hemisphere: you already have (or should be about to) start it.
For the specifics on who comes and goes when, go here: http://www.webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/ (http://www.webexhibits.org/daylightsaving/)
2. Do a check to ensure that your e-mail address on your account is current. If your e-mail address is incorrect and you forget your password, you've got no way of retrieving a new password!
3. Test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and change their batteries if necessary. In fact, check the actual unit itself: if it's more than a few years old, you may want to consider replacing it with a new one since they do break down.
Remember, we are entering the holiday season, with lots of lights, real Christmas trees, votive candles, yule logs (real ones, not WPIX's) and other potential fire hazards roaming about. If you do anything on this list, this better be it!!!
