Anyone ever seen this?

It's listed as a possible airing on one of my PBS station sometime soon.
Is it any good?

I've seen some of it before, but not a lot because they didn't show it too much. It's not that bad. Lesley-Anne Down plays in it. I love her!

I posted on this on the Old Board. I've been a fan of this show since it debuted in the 70's. I also own it now and still enjoy it. It's comfort food TV for me. There are some cameos with Arthur Brough, Larry Martyn, and Harold Bennett. Worth every penny to get the DVD's if you're into a wonderful series of class struggles, drama, comedy, and British culture. Up-Down has it all.

And remember according to Mrs. Slocombe....some of the best parts were
downstairs!!

And that is SO TRUE, Frank. The whole show is like a dear old pal to me. I am so glad I can still watch it/own it. I have the VHS sets, and completed it, and then suddenly the DVD's came out.

I loved this program with a passion! Would love to know if it air's again! I am also a great fan of Duchess of Duke Street! There was also one about The Royals?????? I think that was there name! You are so correct this is comfort tv. Rompole, Frost, Sherlock Holmes, Vicar of Dibley, and Chef. I was never a great fan of Fawlty Tower's. I also love Mr Bean. PBS does not show these programs like they use to at least not in my area! We are now down to twice a week for AYBS.

I saw the Duchess of Duke Street through only once. It was well-done but pretty much a poor man's "Up-Down". There's nothing like the original Upstairs Downstairs. One of the most important television dramas ever made, and it's worth investing in the tapes or DVD's.

Yesterday, PBS aired The Best of Masterpiece Theater, Upstairs was voted number 1 as being the favorite Masterpiece Theater program.

My PBS station is going to start Upstairs again March 24th after the Vicar of Dibley. I'm going to try this again. See if I can get to this program.

Upstairs, Downstairs is possibly the best British drama series ever created. Watch out for Rachel Gurney as Lady Marjorie Bellamy who is amazing but especially for our very own Arthur Brough who appeared as the butcher in one or two episodes.
