Hi folks,
I'm a 53 YO Ex pat Brit living in North Carolina USA. I've lived in the US for 9 years and am pleased to say that In spite of BBC America, for the most part, being worse than nearly all the US channels they still have one or two good offerings in Torchwood (Soon to end apparently) and Doctor Who (BBCA are a have until now been a year behind SCiFi on the DR ). The biggest provider of reasonable quality Old British entertainment is actually PBS (Viewer supported Public Broadcasting Service).
AYBS is typically screened Sunday Night on PBS immediately after East Enders. The BBC used to do East Enders but then dropped it.
We also have DVD's of the full set of On the Buses, St Trinians, Most of the Carry Ons, Inspector Morse, Hitch Hikers Guide (UK original series) and (oops dont tell the FBI) a downloaded copy of Several Thunderbirds episodes and the complete series of Fireball XL5. We Just got Best of DAve Allen from Amazon.co.uk.
I love Brit humor, Some American humor. I cant stand Stupid slapstick or comedy where they have to tell you the punchline is coming. And Much American late night TV (Letterman especially just aint funny)
Hey Guys BTW is there a Magic Roundabout forum.
Well thats me
