In her memory, I've added a tribute and a section for fans to leave a note for her family on her page.

Newbie here - in fact I joined so that I could say how sorry I am about Mollie. I loved AYBS as a child - it narrowly beat Sykes, Porridge and Dick Emery to the number 1 spot in our house. This so soon after Wendy is a great shame - they simply don't make comedy stars like they did. RIP Mollie and thanks for making me laugh.

Well...I just can't think of what to say at the moment. I'm just really horribly sad now. I didn't even find out about Wendy's passing until a couple/few weeks ago, and now Mollie? :(

I hadn't even visited these boards since last year, then a couple of days ago I decided to drop in, and I came back tonight and was hit with the sad news, otherwise I probably wouldn't have found out about Mollie for a long time too. I almost wish I hadn't. :(

Terrible news indeed. I was just thinking the other night how she was still going along and wondering how she was doing. So sad to her of her passing. We seem to be losing a lot of celebrities here within the past two weeks. Rest in Peace Mollie, you provided me with many laughs and I'm sure you will do so for the rest of my life. She was in a wheelchair? I hadn't even heard about that.

The media doesn't take the time these days to report on how older actors and actresses are doing. You never seem to hear anything until they suddenly pass away.

I am in shock right now and deeply saddened, but I had something of a premonition that it was about to happen.

I come across a poem I write I wrote about my grandma's death. The last few lines are I think, fitting for Mollie, Wendy and John, also....

An Angel You Were.....An Angel You Are

by Rachael Story

....You have left me, no reason as
To why

To heaven you've gone, an Angel
You were, an Angel you are

Sickness no more, have you to bare
God has taken you, to live with Thee there

Five days later I find out. Had a not so good weekend, so it's just as well. I posted something a while back...carefully chosen words about Mollie's finesse with mannerisms, gestures, eye movement and hand placement, to say nothing of her expressive vocal skills.

An absolute gem.

For Wendy, I said that heaven just got noticeably brighter, or something like that. For Molly, I could say the same, but need to say something original, and it is hard to think. Several stars shine due to their talent and excellence, but only a few have that special lustre that makes them so endearing. "Well done! Brava! (applause)" What a beautiful life she lived!

Here it is. I had posted it her last birthday:

I'd like to bestow the title Honorary Aunt, as if I really know her, she was so sweet and charming in her appearance in "Celebrating Mollie Sugden", and her work shines with a lot more than talent. In AYBS she showed a "glowing finesse", and every facial or hand gesture and tone of voice was expertly crafted yet entirely heartfelt and genuine. She has given us so much joy!
