I forgot which show it started on but has anybody noticed when Ms. Brahms gained weight, especially around the Waist??? It went on for a few shows, even in Grace & Favour...

I noticed in the last series that she had gotten heavier, but it certainly didn't change the fact that she was a beautiful woman.

Yes, she was a beautiful woman and I loved her voice! Watching her now on 'Dear Sexy Knickers'...Actually, she had gained weight before the last series. But she still maintain her youthful look during the series.

I think it was about Series 8 that she really started filling out. Nothing wrong with a little more to hold onto.

i always noticed a similar thing happen with mrs slocombe actually...for some reason, that was more obvious to me than miss brahms at first.

also, her personality seemed to have changed. (mrs slocombe i mean). at the start, she was more 'dignified' and 'proper'. as the series went on, she became more 'relaxed' and 'energetic'.

this thread has just got me thinking of changes in characters now, like the ones i've just mentioned, mr humphries' hair, etc...

Yes, Mr. Humphries changed as well... It's hard to imagine the Mr. Humphries in Dear Sexy Knickers directing the Ballet of the Toys or Punch and Judy... :D

Someone should start and "Change in Staff" thread for us to discuss all this. ;)

I can honestly say I never noticed her getting bigger - doesn't mean she didn't...

Was it because the writers didn't give her anything to do ?

It really must be magic being married to you - every woman's dream a man that doesn't notice weight gain :)

Well whenever I'm at the beach, someone tries to pull me into the sea because they think I'm a stranded whale. So I can't really lecture anyone else on the subject. :)

I think Miss. Brahms/Wendy Richard looks really good no matter what her weight is. :)

I've already seen Bambi. I have yet to see an unsatisfied virgin though.

Reminds me of that old Rolling Stones song "I can't get no... sa-tis-fac-tion... but I try... and I try... and I try... and I try..."

I found the extra weight very flattering to Ms. Brahms; I think most men here would agree. :D
