I was just watching "The Dart's Game" - the last epi of G&F.
Was there something between Malcomb's dad & Mr. Humphries?
Not only did Malcomb's dad call Mr. Humphries "my dear", but he had a 'come hither' look towards Mr. Humphries when W.C. was throwing the darts. It would also explain why Mr. Humphries didn't want to fight Malcomb (so as not to upset daddy), why Humphries didn't make a play for Mavis (didn't want to put him off), and why Malcomb's dad was so interested in making sure Humphries had enough to drink!
One could even postulate that the only reason he wanted to buy the Manor's sheep and challenge the Manor in darts was to have an excuse to meet Mr. Humphries!
At the end, Mr. Humphries leaves the money for the sheep at his farm even when they didn't succesfully get the sheep. Awfully suspicious!
