I was shocked to learn she was 86. I have always enjoyed anything Bea Arthur was in. I especially liked Maude.

Good-bye Bea - you shall be missed

Weird, but she always seemed old to me. Maybe it was that low smokey voice. lol

She was a great one though. RIP

An incredibly funny lady. I loved watching the Golden Girls and also remember her having a role in Futurama.

R.I.P Bea :(

I always liked the theme song of "Maude." It's rather catchy.

I was shocked to hear about this on my local news last night. How sad. May she Rest In Peace. :(

I just rented MAME, for her performance. Lucille Ball was crap. Bea was an amazing talent. I also found out that Elaine Stritch read for "Dorothy" but screwed the audition by cursing. lol She was my favorite baritone. Farewell, Bea Arthur.

I just read about this and was shocked. I didn't even know she was in ill health.

I will certainly miss her. I liked Maude, The Golden Girls, and her role with Angela Lansbury in Mame.

This woman excelled in any role they gave her, and she always made me laugh. Here's to you Bea for a lifetime of entertainment and hard work. R.I.P.

I was saddened by this. This was also the day my brother in law's mom passed away. She died unexpectedly. It was a rough week.
