I thought i'd create this thread to discuss the funniest facial expressions the characters have made... (I don't think there's a thread like this already, but i could be wrong...)
anyway, two of my favourites are:
the old order changes - mr humphries' expression as he finds out mr lucas's first name
german week - mrs slocombe's face as she is saying that mr rumbold is out of focus

1) when he is doing his impression of an Eton educated shareholder. It looks similar to a dog eating peanut butter.
2) when he is trying to remember the words to Mammy.

my favorite is when Captain Peacock says that "visits to the toilet will also be recorded..." in Coffee Morning and Mr. Grainger is appauled. hahaha!

Mr. Lucas' expression in "Fire Practice" when he is asked if he would like to save Mrs. Slocombe is priceless.
Earlier when I was listing my favorite Mr. Grainger's expressions I forgot probably the most unusual - The look on his face outside Rumbold's office when he hears the cuckoo clock.

Wow, there's just so many good ones.... but Grainger's forced smile in 'Christmas Crackers' is another classic.

After watching Shedding the Load, I enjoy the face Mr. Tebbs makes when it is revealed that the person who dared write that Mrs. Slocombe was a 'crabby old cow' had written it in blue pencil.

I agree completely. Those people at Kipling's Cakes were "thoroughly obstropulous" about not wanting him to play Mr. Tebbs any more. Bunch of baskets, the lot of them.

And the joke is that Mr. Humphries is saying 'Oh we don't want people like THAT here', and since Mr. Beaucham is a kind of carbon copy of Mr. Humphries, he's backhandedly implicating himself in his statement.

ive just been watching coffee morning, and noticed quite a funny one...
it comes about 5 minutes into the episode, when they are discussing the recording of tea breaks. the one i'm talking about is mr grainger's expression when he hears that visits to the toilet will be recorded! it was just so randomly funny, and so i decided to share it :)
