Who do you think is the biggest crawler (kiss-up) and why. On the flip side: Who do you think is the biggest rebel and why.


Biggest Crawler: Mr. Peacock - Not only to Mr. Grace, but Mr. Rumbold and whoever is "temporarily" in charge.

Biggest Rebel: Mr. Lucas - no one was spared his wonderful sarcastic wit.

But maybe you disagree.............

Great Question BG!

Biggest Rebel: Mrs. Slocumbe. She was willing to tell it like it was! Lucas tried to hide behind sarcasm and inuendo.

While Humphries did the most crawling (bowing to authority), Capt. Peacock was the biggest Kiss-Up. Not only did he kiss-up to his superiors, he kissed-up to all the women around.

I would say that Mr. Rumbold is the biggest crawler, hence why he calls himself that on the telephone to Mr. Grace.

The biggest rebel would definitely be Mr. Lucas. He's constantly finding ways around the higher ups and ways of bending the rules.

My sort of fellow. (I'm more of a rebel than anything, myself....I suppose that's why I end up losing jobs at times :/)

Crawler - Rumbold

Rebel - would be a tie between Lucas and Mash.

Crawaler would have to be Mr Rumbold.
Rebel would be Mr Mash or Mr Harmon.

Even Mr. Grace mentioned it from time to time.

I'd put Capt. Peacock as both. Sometimes he'd suck up to Rumbold to look good, and at other times, he'd rebel (like in "Top Hat and Tails" when he played the piano better than Rumbold!!).
