I think Greg WW can help you more here. I think he's the one that has all the dialogs memorized by heart!

Something with beans, I think. Mr Harman says something about beans and I think Mr Humphries says what he think he says and it becomes...nothing, haha. "bleep beans!" I just rewatched it and that's what it sounds like to me

I think he was saying "plates, please!" in order to get the staff to pass their plates over to him.

Yeah, I think you're right. That's what Mr Harman says anyway. Mr Humphries just talked nonsense, hehe

"plep please!" something like that

Red Shadow is correct. He was saying "Plates Please" but was trying to disguise it because of the gas mask.

but was trying to disguise it because of the gas mask.

I don't think that was his purpose. He probably didn't know they couldn't hear what he said, hehe

Mrs Slocombe's "What is he saying?" cracks me up toato laugh there aswell

Another episode question

In what episode does Wendy laugh a little in the canteen while telling Mr Grainger what to do. Something about that he should keep moving his mouth like a fish or something, haha

Edit:

Nevermind, it's Father Christmas Affair, hehe

It was the same thing with Miss Brahms in "Friends and Neighbours" when she did her "blip bleep" thing. It was supposed to sound muffled but she and Harman just sounded stupid doing it.

I just saw that my keyboard screwed up again when I saw you quote me there. I ment

Mrs Slocombe's "What is he saying?" cracks me up and she looks like she's about to laugh there aswell

I couldn't edit my previous post so I'll post another, hehe

I couldn't find that moment in Friends and Neighbours

When Brahms and Slocombe are moved into their apartment. They both have gas mask on. Slocombe is playing with a pot of fake flowers and Brahms is fiddling with the curtains. Slocombe says something to Brahms through the gas mask and Brahms answers back with her "Blip. bleep, pah, pah, pah ...."
