Starting some new thread over the coming weeks for you guys to make up for lost time! Been very busy with work, etc. so I have very little time for much fun. Money trumps all too which I'm sure most of you can understand! :)

First up: Mr Humphries

What are some good AND bad traits that he has?

Just name one good and one bad. The bad traits will probably be harder to think of since they are all lovable characters, but they all have both like the rest of us! LOL

Also, if you share the same trait good or bad share that as well and note the similarities.

NOTE: It's the character being looked at-not the real-life person!

Also, it the character happens to be your favorite character please note that as well.

I guess I'll start since I might not have been clear on what I was asking for...

Good trait: Very charismatic
Bad trait: Very emotional

I share the good trait with Mr Humphries. People are drawn to me and it's amazing how many times I'm approached in a store from people thinking I work there! Fortunately I can mostly find the item they need since I go there often enough too. :)

Mr Humphries also happens to be my favorite character as well.

Okay........Here's my take on Mr. Humphries

Good trait: Upbeat sense of humor- No matter what is going on Mr. Humphries keeps his sense of humor. He would make being at work fun.

Bad trait - Eye-rolling - Mr. Humphries favors eye-rolling especially when Mrs. Slocombe mentions her pussy. Never thought of eye-rolling as a bad trait until my son became a teenager - now my life is filled with eye-rolls everywhere.

Good trait: Mixes well with people

Bad trait: Duplicitous. This is more true early in the series (I think Mr. Humphries' personality changed a lot after the first 2 or 3 seasons*), but throughout he was always willing to say whatever he needed to get on someone's good side.

*Anyone agree with me on this? In the first season or so he seems a lot more prone to nastiness and backstabbing, and gradually becomes a major softie after that. Around the same time he got his toupee, come to think of it. Hmm.
