Hi all,
Since I'm am using her name I thought it would be a good time to get started on the all new Miss Brahms appreciation page. As you can tell she is my favorite character. My favorite scene with her is the "nickers and knockers cover" scene. :D

Miss Brahms is such a pretty girl that a lot of men would try to take advantage of her.Our Miss Brahms would have none of it.

Is this the scene where Ms. Slocombe says, I will not have you knocking my knickers and Ms Brahms replies, I'm not to wild about you nicking my
knockers?
THats just Classic!

One of my favorite Brahms scenes is from "Cold Store" when she ties the handkerchief over her face to stop Mrs. Slocombe's germs from going up her nose.

The episode on Ms Slocombe's squatters is "The Apartment" not
"Friends and Neighbors" which is where all the staff share the 3 apartments.
And I have to agree with Greg...."Covers" not "Counter"....

The one time I wanted to choke Miss Brahms is from "Diamonds Are A Man's Best Friend" when her and Slocombe are having the talk about why Miss Brahms should cook at home.....
http://www.minki.net/forum/slochead1.jpg"Why don't you stay at home and cook something for yourself ??"
http://www.minki.net/forum/brahmhead1.jpg "I can't afford to buy food."
http://www.minki.net/forum/slochead1.jpg"What do you spend your money on ???"
http://www.minki.net/forum/brahmhead1.jpg "Clothes so the boys will ask me out !!"
That whole scene just drives me !!!!!

I liked the episode where they were doing the comercial for the store and the nurse stepped in with her sexy voice and she (miss Brahms) got the call from Lord Hurley and tried to be posh to try to nab him .

Another one of my favorite of Miss Brahms is in Happy returns when she is asked to look at Mr. Lucas's tights and she didn't see anything out of place. :o

Like in the pilot, where she squats down in front of the lift to talk to Mr. Lucase because the lift has left him a little low.....I wonder if that was
distracting to Mr. Bannister......

I loved it in "it pays to advertize" when she comes out and said that her tail came off and had Humphries put it back on for his. Too bad Lucas really wanted to do it.

I also liked it in the "nightclub" when she has to decide what skirt to wear and the first one gets little attention and when she revealed the second one I thought that Seymour would have a stroke. I bet the men loved to film scenes like that one and the one in "roots' you know what I mean.

Men still do like to film scenes like that. Just look at what the Networks try to pass off as Prime Time programming.

No I meant I bet the other male actors loved rehearsing those scenes with Wendy. I bet Trevor and mike both got some good looks. :D

If I was the male cast members and Wendy had to do those type of scenes, I would purposely screw up so we had to do that scene over and over again !!!!http://lordgreg.minki.net/brow.gif

I'll bet they did. :D
For me, the quintessential Miss Brahms moment has to be when she wears earmuffs on her bust in "Cold Comfort." Hilarious, naughty, provocative yet silly -- that's Miss Brahms for you.

I do not know if any of you have noticed but Miss Brahms was pretty skinny her first couple of years and then near the end of th run got some meat on her bones.

I think they all had some meat on their bones near the end. I guess they made a good living from the show and were able to eat well. :D

Yes and if you look at AYBA (GaF) you will see that with the possible exception of Captain Peacock, they all have put on a bit. But hey, If I compare what I weighed in my twenties to now  ....well let's just say, they've all done very well :D

I like episodes where Miss Brahms has more dialog or where she gets to be funny or have some zinger lines.....it appears to me that
out of the floor staff, Miss Brahms is less a central figure than any others.
Mrs. Slocombe has her episodes. So do Captain Peacock, Mr. Humphries, and Mr. Lucas(well maybe not Lucas so much.not a whole episode just a segment). Even Mr. Grainger has a few eppies in which he is the central
character.....However, Miss Brahms always seems to be in a supporting
role.
Comments?

I agree, she really did not seem to have a whole episode to herself, which is a shame because she really is my favorite character. But some times the best characters are the supporting ones, look at Ethel Mertrz on I love Lucy. She got a emmy for that role.

My favorite Brahms episode is COLD STORE. She had some good lines in that one.
:brahms01: They don't giv'm in your arm anymore. I won't me able to sit through the pictures for a whole week. :lol2:
:brahms01: My doctor giv'm me.
:peacock01: You doctor gave them to you, Miss Brahms.
:brahms01: No he didn't. He charged me 8 quid. :lol2:
Nurse: Miss brahms, where did you get these injections.
:brahms01: In me bum. :lol2:
:brahms01: It's not lady-like. :lol2:

I know you don't like the Hero epi, Greg, but the canteen scene where they are
laughing about CSP's boil, is very funny and I think Miss Brahms gets the nod as having the best lines.
