AYBS -> AYBSa(Gaf) character development

What do you think of the characters in Gaf compared to AYBS?? Did they
age gracefully/correctly... How did they change for the better? the worse?

Personally, I have always been amazed at the age of the cast and how active they are....in Both AYBS and GaF. Mollie Sugden was 50 when AYBS started
and 70 when GaF was done. Absolutely amazing. I did notice a decided
down playing of the physical gags for her in GaF compared to AYBS.
About all they did for her was getting a leg up compared to the fire drill and deadman's carry in Fire Practice.
The one thing I thought about Mrs. Slocombe that I didn't care for was her
voice...Its seemed to be more bell-like and bugling in GaF, which is totally
different than in AYBS. To me it made her seem so much older.

What do you think?(about Mrs. SLocombe or any other cast member)

I thought they aged quite well.

They all did look pretty good for the shape they were in.Mrs slocombe's voice is different ,but more Grandmotherly than anything else.
Mr Rumbold's character doesn't seem to have changed much. Even after his wife left. He wouldn't of course have had any real clue as to why if it was his fault.
