I hear that term on Coronation Street all the time--it's something they cook in the Rovers, and to be honest...it sounds really tasty :)

Minki I bet you wish one of the members from the UK would just give you an answer. Here is more than you ever wanted to know about Hotpot. http://www.northcotemanor.com/taste_of_lancashire/lancashire_hotpot.htm

Didn't Captain Peacock comment that Mr.Lucas smelt like a hotpot once? They don't sound half bad.

Crock pot or slow cooked one-pot meal, essentially. Mrs Slocombe's hand was kissed and the customer said it smelled faintly of onions...

:slocombe01: "Yes...welll.... ...I made a hot pot before I came in..."

You know, I do have a crock pot waiting to be used...now if I can find lamb around here, I'll be in business!

My mom has a crock pot that we always use for roast beef and cabbage casseroles. They turn out wickedly awesome! I would highly recommend them. They are also very handy if you can't attend to your meal every minute.
