Has anyone got any photos of the Are You Being Served?
What did you think of the set?
Was it good bad or ugly!

I know that the 25 anniversary book for AYBS has some pictures in it as well as interviews with those who worked behind the scenes. I ordered my off amazon.com. hope this helps. :D

Sorry, I don't think many people would have pictures of this. The tapings were so long ago, and I doubt the opportunity would have arised too often. However, several people on these boards have books on Aybs? and perhaps there are pictures of the set in there. You never know,

Edited to say that I didn't know Miss Brahms posted at the exact time as I did, so I didn't mean for it to look like I was stealing her suggestion. Thanks!

I don't have "background" picture per say but I got several pictures of the set from the shows. I don't think any "behind the scenes" exist. If they do, I'll kill for them !!!!

I like the set it was actually very well designed if you think about it - simple but it's all you needed. I always wonder if it was tiny in real life like the sets in Friends and American sitcoms.

The AYBS? set seemed huge to me. Having both departments and the stairs leading to the lifts, I bet it took up the whole stage.

It must have been one of the only sets because on a few occasions (Founder's Day, Pop Star, etc.) the cast are supposed to be in another place such as the executive board room or a television studio and you can tell that they use the same set as the mens and ladies department.

In "Closed Circuit" when the staff are at the resturant, you can see the stairs that lead up to the lift through the resturants front door. I have a picture of it in "Bloopers".
