Come up with the name of an episode describing something you'd like to see on AYBS...if that were possible.

example.....Episode name :
"Queen for a day"
( now if I can just figure out if that's for Miss Brahms or Mr. Humphries)

commenting your epi-name is probably a good idea so we get the full
chuckle-effect!

A few more:

Corporal Peacock: the demotion of a great man...(in his own eyes)
Captain Peacocks military record catches up with him...in a more real way than in the Junior.

Slam Bam Thank you, Grainger....
the story of how Mr. Grainger got the girl in Haberdashery(sp) in the club.

Mash of Arabia.....too weird to comtemplate!!!

ok, your turn!

Let's see if I can rattle off a few here...Hmmm....

"Goodbye, Mr. Lucas."

A final ep for our Dick. We understand why he left and where he ended up.

"Dick and Shirley's Wedding"

Now with an excellent job at Austin Reed, Lucas is finally able to give Shirley the "Dallas" life she's been dreaming of. They marry and set up household in a foreclosed semi-detached castle in Berkshire.

"Mrs. Slocombe Expectorates"
Betty has come up with a new money making scheme. She invents the world's best cough medicine, using the remainders of her famous perfume.

"No Sail"

Old Mr. Grace pulls the plug on a promised staff trip on his yacht. The staff comes up with a plan to bump off the old geezer and frame Mr. Harman.

"A Briss Girl"

A female Rabbi begins a new career at Grace Brothers working closely with Mr. Goldberg.

"Mrs. Slocombe Saves the Day"
She has a dream about being a superhero and saving the store from evil. You can imagine what Mr. Lucas would say about her wearing a tight spandex super hero suit.....

"Strutting Peacock"
Capt. Peacock enters a ballroom dance competition for charity, but later finds out it's a breakdancing competition. Looks like Mr. Humphries will have to teach him how to 'get down'.....

"Frank and Ernest"
Mr. Grainger's dog, Frank, is entered in a dog show. Unfortunately Mrs. Grainger is the one to show him off, and she becomes ill before the show. Mr. Grainger must read up on his dog knowledge to sound halfway knowledgeable at the show or risk losing out to his friends at the LALA...

Grace Bros. version of Girls Gone Wild

Hugh Hefner makes a cameo appearance and decides to put the Grace Bros.
birds in his magazine... pick your own favorites for this fantasy...er, epi...
And somehow Mr. Humphries and Captain Peacock end up dressed in
drag with Hugh. While I, also making a cameo (well whose idea is it anyway?)
,as cameraman, manage to get 2 weeks on Hugh's yacht with all my favorite gals of AYBS. GIVE ME STRENGTH!!!

Rumbold: Stud-muffin

Mr. Rumbold has a make-over and changes into, well let;s just say he
outdoes Captain Peacock in the bird chasing department.
He is the new Robert Redford of the Ready Made, until his wife comes
back from her cruise unexpectedly.
In the meantime, Lucas is comtemplating becoming a priest and
Captain Peacock has taken to drinking his lunches.

Grainger of the Surete: Earnest decides life is too boring. While out
feeding the ducks bread crusts he becomes inbroiled in an international
terrorist plot. Quickly donning his hat and coat he becomes the next Inspector Clouseau like character, bumbling his way through to aprehend
the bad guys.

Plucking the Peacock:
Captain Peacock get's his come-upance and gets demoted to the women;s counter while Miss Brahms becomes the new floorwalker...There's a new
sherriff in town and her name is Shirley.

I love Tids's Idea on a "Farewell To Lucas". That is an eppy I would definitely would have loved to see.
I would also loved to see what actually happeded at one of the Christmas Parties. With everyone getting blown out and acting the fool !!!

"Flounders Day"

Mr. Grace insists his staff get the same start he did...to make them appreciate their jobs more. So he relocates the department to the canteen prep area on Fish N Chip Day. He puts Peacock in charge of the wheelbarrow.

---------------

"The Mold Up"

Grace Brothers has to be evacuated due to a dangerous strain of mold found growing in Rumbold's drawers.

----------------

"The Frightclub"

Old Mr. Grace has plans for Halloween. He wants the staff to come up with a Monster Dinner Theatre complete with scary costumes and frightening masks by Oct. 31. He exempts Mr. Rumbold saying "You're perfect as you are, Jug Ears!"

Miss Brahms

I would have definitely found more avenues for our Shirley. I think she would have been great in her own show or two.

Clarification request, the Mold; in Rumbold's DESK drawers or ???

So far, if we were keeping score, Tiddles has my vote for best ideas on this!!

Brahms Lullaby: After elocution lessons, Miss Brahms decides to take voice lessons and is discovered as a new popstar....the fame is fleeting but the men of the Men's ready made are all standing in line for her favors.
.
Betty ooop: Mrs. Slocombe has a short term movie career...which would have gone on but was submarined by the unlikely team of Peacock and Lucas, because, if the Ladies dept. went under, Mr. Grace was going to
close out both departments.

Our Man HarMan...
Story of Beverly Harman as the new James Bond figure in the movies.!

How much is that Humphries in the window: Mr. Grace has a new scheme,
put live models in the stores window displays. Humphries relunctantly
agrees to the deed. He has to quit because passing by lasses are
flashing him and he keeps fainting.

Rumbold: Stud-muffin

He is the new Robert Redford of the Ready Made, until his wife comes
back from her cruise unexpectedly.

This one has possiblilities. Start it off with something like a fight between Mr. and Mrs. Rumbold. Her saying that he's a wimp and a lousy lover. So Rumbold sets out to take "Stud" lessons from the various men in the department. Then like at the end of "Grease", we see Rumbold walking in, all studly and masculine only to find his wife is too overwhelmed with the new Cuthbert so she begs him to change back into the geek he was.

Now you know this one interest me !!! I always thought it would have been totaly cool for a Halloween show on AYBS? and our Tids seems to have dished up a great plot. Throw in a few dead souls of unhappy past Grace Brothers employees to haunt the floor and you've got ratings, ratings, RATINGS !!!!!!
I should start to write this one....

Someone has been very very busy......
I loved these....
especially THe ballet tickets, the PM and Mr. Mash Lends a hand....

You know we are going to come up with more episodes than they ever made...some of them as Greg points out should be written....
Maybe there could be an AYBS rides again.....new cast of course but it
shows that there are many areas that the writers could have found some
fresh new material.....they should have just asked US!!!!

I have a few more:

The Gun
Peacock shops for an anniversary present for his wife. He accidentally picks up a bag that contains a gun that was dropped by a runaway thief. When Peacock tries to pawn the gun, the manageress of the pawn shop faints, thinking it is a hold-up. When she recovers, she calls the police giving them Peacock's description. Then Peacock's wife hears about the incident, finds the gun, and turns Peacock in for his own good.

Traffic Violations
Mrs. Slocombe and Miss Brahms become co-owners of a car, agreeing to use it on alternative weeks. They put put licenses in the glove compartment for safekeeping. Mrs. Slocombe has the car the second week and within a few days she gets two tickets and a warning that the third ticket will warrant a stiff penalty. Nervous about the warning, Mrs. Slocombe smashes into a fire hydrant. Fearing a jail term, she gives the police Miss Brahms license information and learns, to her dismay, that Shirley has already been ticketed three times during her turn with the car.

Are You My Daddy?
One day Peacock sees his wife leaving an obstetrician's office, and he fears that he is about to be a father. His suspicians are confirmed when he sees his wife shopping for baby clothes. In fact, Mrs. Peacock has taken a job as nursemaid to the obstetrician's child. But until he learns the truth, Peacock becomes a reformed man.

Lucas Returns:
Dick Lucas comes into GB as a customer looking for a pair trousers.
Mr. Humphries has been waiting to get his tape up Lucas for a long time.
Unfortunately, Mr. Spooner is taken ill and Mr. Lucas offers to stand-in.
Lucas is back to his old tricks as he tries to chat up Shirley.
Miss Brahms sees this as an good omen (who knows why) and agrees to
go out with Mr. Lucas....Lucas sales are off the chart for the day and he is
offered a position under Mr. Humphries, which he takes after some
banter with Ms. Slocombe.....Spooner comes back to find Lucas at his post, taken his (perceived) girl and puts his bid in for Canteen Manager which he gets.

Miss Brahms Gets Love Sick (or)
Miss Brahms Who?

I'd like to see an episode where Miss Brahm's actually likes Mr. Lucas. Maybe it has something to do with a side effect of a medicine or she hits her head and has amnesia and doesn't remember who SHE is. Of course it would only work if he got all flustered and bashful and couldn't go for it. :D  :D

The Major.

Captain Peacocks old commanding officer drops in to Grace Bros to buy a suit. Mr. Humphries tries to get his tape up his inside leg.
The Major recognizes Peacock and decides to apply for an open position.
He never fails to call Captain Peacock, Corporal Peacock at every opportunity and Captain Peacock can say nothing about it.
The staff are delighted with the change in Captain Peacock until they realize that the Major has all the bad qualities of Captain Peacock but with higher Rank! They plot with Corporal, er, Captain Peacock to get the Major fired..
Some compromising pictures with Mr. Humphries does the trick.....
Captain Peacock swears to turn over a new leaf.
The epi ends with Humphries saying, "You know he still calls me from time to time"

The Starlit Lounge:

~Mr.Grace has an old night club lounge that he has no use for anymore, and decided to let the staff use it anyway they can to make money. Miss.Brahms gives it a go at singing, and the staff are amazed at her beautiful voice! The place is crowded everynight, and the cash is flowing like there is no tomorrow. Miss.Brahms is offered a singing contract, and she agrees and now lives in a life of luxury. She marries Mr.Spooner who is also a famous singer now, and they buy a palace in Las Vegas where they live happily ever after. They hold dinner parties and of course invite their old friends to come and visit.~

Business is Booming

Mr. Grace hears Miss Brahms telling Mrs. Slocombe how she wears a low cut frock to get the guys to ask her out and decides that the woman's dept.
should go the same route.... Business booms for the Ladies dept when
the ladies dress Victoria Secret style(NOT Queen Victoria). Oddly or not, most of the customers are men... and the Men's dept sales are at an all time low.
OTOH, Miss Brahms sales are though the roof, not to mention her
social calendar.
Mr. Grace finally has to cancel the scheme because his heart can't stand the
strain of seeing first Mrs. Slocombe and then Miss Brahms every time he
comes on the floor.

Good-bye OMG!

The staff (like most of us) can't stand OMG...and plot a way to get him to leave....Captain Peacock leads a contingency of the staff on a covert mission to get YMG to return. YMG agrees and starts a campaign of haunting
his brother. Appearing after his brother leaves and reversing or changing
his brother's orders. OMG finally has enough and decides to leave for
the continent for an extended vacation......
Final scenes shows YMG slipping away with OMG's secretary for some

"THE MONSTER MASH"

Mr. Mash dresses up as an evil looking monster on Halloween as the maintenance staff holds their own party during working hours. He shows up on the department floor every once-in-a-while and gives Miss Brahms a scare, along with some of the customers, much to Mr. Lucas' delight. Captain Peacock does not know it's Mr. Mash causing the trouble but DOES know it's someone from the maintenance staff. He tells Mr. Rumbold who, in turn, tells Young Mr. Grace. Well, Mr. Mash makes another appearance dressed as the monster and Captain Peacock chases him off the floor into the direction of Rumbold's office. Mr. Mash tears off the costume and throws it into Mr. Rumbold's office. He runs away without being caught. Young Mr. Grace visits Rumbold's office and finds the costume on the floor. The courtship of Mrs. SLocombe

Its boring at the men's counter so to liven things up a bit, Humphries bets Lucas 100 quid that he can't get Slocombe to "go out" with
him.Terms of what GO OUT WITH are discussed and finally agreed upon..so, Lucas, who needs the money, takes the bet....
His demeanor towards "Betty" ,as he takes to calling her, is suddenly
friendly and even flirty....Mrs. Slocombe at first is taken back and suspicious by the
sudden change but as Mr. Lucas' affectionate attention continues she is
drawn to his charms.... The whole thing unravels as packing and maintenance
has been betting on both sides of the senario and Miss Brahms stumbles upon the truth....Mrs. Slocombe is furious and is looking for Mr. Lucas to
give him "what he deserves". We last see Mr. Lucas running for his life across the deptartment floor and out by the steps, Mrs. Slocombe in hot pursuit.....

AND THAT IS WHY MR. LUCAS HAD TO LEAVE THE SHOW !!!

Miss Brahms Senior Person.....

Rumbold finally gets on the board...Peacock takes over for Rumbold...
Slocombe get Peacocks job and Miss Brahms get promoted to Sr. Sales
person...
The men's counter is unhappy with the situation because neither of them
got promoted. Miss Brahms sales are doing wonderful....So well in fact
tht YMG is considering giving her Slocombe's job over both departments.
Mrs. Slocombe conives with the men's dept to keep Miss Brahms from
taking Mrs. Slocombe's job.

It all unravels from the top down as Rumbold is to much of a dolt to
stay on the board long...as everyone gets bumped down....only Miss
Brahms is happy because that's where she had already decided she
wanted to be anyway.

minds transferred to another staff member when a small space rock (meteorite)
lands on the store.

Mr. Rumbold becomes Peacock,
Peacock becomes Lucas

Slocombe and Brahms switch and find out what its like to be the other
Lucas Becomes Humphries and finds out what's its really like on the "other side"
Humphries becomes YMG.
YMG becomes Mash and
Mash becomes Rumbold.

Create your own idea of what mayhem would ensue..
Of course, it is all temporaray and the staff is back to normal (well almost)
by the end of the episode.

For and extra-bizarre version
Have Peacock become slocombe and Brahms become Lucas

Sex and the single Girl

When Miss Brahms experiences a hormonal imbalance....she suddenly has
and eye for the guys....all the guys. first flirting with and then dating all the men in the
Men's Dept....Monday its Peacock. Tuesday Lucas. Wednesday Humphries.
Thursday Grainger(yes randy ole Grainger) ....by Friday YMG has heard the news and decides to
give her a go himself.....Jealous of losing her exalted and exclusive place
with YMG, his secretary teams up with Mrs. Slocombe, who also is at odds with Miss Brahms over her popularity, and the two of them contact a specalist to get Miss Brahms condition
rectified "toot suit".
Obvious by his absence Mr. Rumbold comes back from a management
conference just as the whole thing is winding down....
episode ends with Rumbold sitting alone in his office wondering how he
missed all the excitetment
