Hi guys

Hoping you can help - I'm deperately after a copy of the AYBS tv theme. I'm too computer illiterate to download it, so was wondering if anyone knew if a version was ever available on CD or vinyl? cheers.

Spend some money on the AYBS? DVD's . The best version is in the beginning of The Hold UP. You won't have to download that. Wait maybe The PoP Star has the better version. In any case You will have both if you buy the DVD's. I know of no version on record or CD. :hat:

Downloading is not really hard and a few sites offer the MP3 or Wave file for you to download.:thumb:

Yes, downloading is a lot easier than you think! We'll even find you a site with the song on it :)

The site belongs to MissMacinthorpe (Emily) and has three formats of the song for you to choose from. It's at the AYBS Virtual Video Vault, an excellent site:
http://home.hiwaay.net/~emilyj/

Go about 2/3 down the page. The song is just under "For those who aren't afraid of large downloads, we now have the full-length version of the theme song in the following formats:"

There are three different formats listed: WAVE, AIFF and MP3. Any of them are fine. Put your mouse over the file you want, and right-click with your mouse. If you're using Netscape, select "Save Link Target As". If it's Internet Explorer, select "Save Target As"

Then click Save on the next box that pops up and you have the song for your very own! Then go check out the rest of her site because she has some good stuff there :)

I recall downloading it a long time ago. It was quite simple. But getting the dvd's is so easy as well! :D

Thanks for the help, people. I should explain Im using the AYBS theme to prove an argument, namely that it's vocal melody was "borrowed" by the Britpop band Elastica for their 1995 hit Connection. Has anyone else heard this song and noticed the similarity to AYBS? Try singing "Ground floor perfumery, stationery and leather goods"etc over the vocal track - it's uncanny!

I'm sure it's been mentioned but the theme tune was remixed and released as a single in 1996! It makes me laugh.
