So far, I have:

01)Are You Being Served?
02)Are You Being Served? Again!
03)Boy Meets World
04)Full House
05)Fresh Prince of Bel Air

I know this isn't a lot right now, but a high school student can afford only so much. Plus, a lot of shows I like are shown quite often on tv, so I don't plan to purchase immediately.

Most of my rare money goes towards music, but...
I've got AYBS?....and all but two seasons of Stargate SG-1. Oh, and the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation. *wants all of that series, eventually*
Actually, Stargate is my bro's, but i've sort of run off with them.
Considering I have no income, i've a nice collection.

I have all 3 Star Trek (original series) box sets and the Star Trek Original Crew movie box set, all the Horatio Hornblower TV-movie box sets, Dragnet (the 60's version) season 1, and Futurama set 4 (because it had the brilliant Star Trek parody). (And AYBS?, of course)

Ha, ha. You do know that 2 AYBS? episodes mention "Star Trek", don't you? ("A Change Is as Good as a Rest" and "The Club") I've had in mind for a long time an AYBS?/Star Trek parody that I may actually write someday: "Where No Tape Measure Has Gone Before or: The Lancashire Hot Pot Syndrome"

This post would probably only mean anything to someone in the UK and nearing the age 40 (like myself).

But if you ever want to see Arthur English in a totally different role, I can recommend buying the 3 DVD set of "The Ghosts of Motley Hall". It's good value on Amazon.co.uk at ?17.97. This is a childrens series that appeals also to adults and is very entertaining with Mr English in the lead role as the earliest of the Ghosts haunting Motley Hall. The setting was impressive, the scripts good and the acting exemplary (all reviews I have seen on the Net agree). The only "live" regular in the show is the estate agent trying to sell Motley Hall, Mr Gudgeon, played by Peter Sallis of Last of the Summer Wine fame.

I would be interested to hear any comments from anyone (most likely in the UK) who bought the DVD's when they were released last year, as I found the show as entertaining as I did when I watched it as a child in the 1970's.

I'd love to see Arthur English in that vehicle. Sounds like fun. I don't know if that's available here in the USA though. I'll check it out.

I just got the DELIGHTFUL 1960's -70's series "That Girl" with Marlo Thomas, Season One on DVD and I can't stop watching it. Just wonderful stuff. She blazed the trail for Mary Tyler Moore (Mary Richards). It's sweet, honest and romantic comedy. Marlo is so gorgeous sometimes it's hard to look at her! Check out the price of a TV Guide "back then"!! I remember that!! LOL!!! :o

I just got the cult series "Strangers With Candy" on DVD! Can't wait to start watching them. Amy Sedaris is brilliant in this comedy about a 46 year old ex-con, boozer, user and loser who goes back to High School to "start over". Not for children....but it's semi-gross out humor for adults who like a bit of funny smut every so often. http://www.flatpointhigh.com/index.htm

Here's the pretty Amy Sedaris out of character!

I actually bought the AYBS box set of dvd's a couple of years ago from the US, as they had not been released over here in the UK at the time. It was a very good investment, and I've probably nearly worn out the first five series.

Dark Shadows came out as a Soap Opera in 1966. I was in high school at that time.

Not the original show (which I love dearly and got most of the DVD box sets) but the prime time show that Dan Curtis did back in 1990. He updated the stories, changed the characters around a bit but it still holds that dark, gothic feel that the original had. Plus the production values are out of this world.

I'm getting as bad as Wibbie!!! I finished my DVD sets (3 of them) of Sherlock Holmes in two weeks. :D

Now I'm buying the last set right now, but these are out order so bad that if you watch this set in the way the show are listed (I'm referring to The Return of Sherlock Holmes) that it appears as if he kicks the cocaine habit then falls off the wagon and starts using again :?

These weren't my first DVD set, now that I remember. SeaQuest DSV Season 1 is my first set. So my DVD sets are....

SeaQuest DSV Season 1
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
The Case~Book of Sherlock Holmes
The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes
The Best of She-Ra, Princess of Power
As Time Goes By
Are You Being Served?
Will & Grace
