:D
Since I startred the Miss Brahms thread I thought it would be nice to talk about Our Mr. Lucas. My favorite non- Punch and Judy scene with him is in the clock- where he says :lucas01: "Flushed with success"

I love it when Mr. Lucas and Mrs. Slocombe trade insults!
:slocombe01:
Also, we cannot forget the time that Little Boy Blue was wearing a plastic mac......

I love that scene too. I also like it when they are having their phyiscals and the men are behind the screen. If I were Miss Brahms I would hace a look.

From "Top Hats and Tails" When Lucas is dancing with Slocombe with the dummy's hand is priceless !!!!!

There are just so many zingers.....
I always secretly(or not) wanted Mr. Lucas and Miss Brahms to be an item...
And notice it is Mr Lucas who quite frequently is more conversant with the
stock than either Humphries or Grainger....either than or he makes it up
very quickly.....
On a sadder note....I don't think the years have been kind to Mr. Bannister
In KUA, he has a part as a kitchen refitter salesman....I barely recognized him.

I liked Lucas's answer to Rumbold as to why he was not performing up to
expectations like the asthmatic cat, mother had to take in a roomer etc....... And he has to keep getting Rumbold straightened out...
When he tells WCH, he says, you used up a lot of material there!!!!

Well it was better than that excuse that Lucas gave about helping delivery a baby for the titled Lady that had to remain annonymous !!!!!:lol2: :lol2:

You didn't frank? I recognized him right away. It was in the eppy, "Angel Gabriel Blue." I thought it was funny when he gave Daisy the free countertop and then went out with Our Rose. Hyacinth so wanted to have the last of the Angel Gabriel Blue! :P
Keeping to topic, I absolutely love Lucas. I think all of his eppys were good INCLUDING Punch and Judy. (My mom hates that one.) "I've come to steal the sausages!"

I recognized him, it was just a shock that he appeared so different than
when he was Mr. Lucas! well at least to me.
That was sooo funny with the Angel Gabriel Blue.they just showed that
epi here in AZ last week!
Its always good to see Hyacinth get her come-uppance.

It is frank, it is! I love this show. I do not know how Richard can take it. Much as I like Richard & Hyacinth, Daisy & Onslow are my two favorite characters.
Sorry every one, I know this is sort of off topic.

I think he just had a good line in "sales patter" - it was part of his character to be sorta cheeky - I think it is meant to be made up rather than evidence he spent his evenings poring over catalogues :D

I recognized him in Keeping Up Appearances when he first came for the camera in that episode. In fact, Patricia Routledge, who played the role of Mrs. Bucket - sorry Bouquet - adressed him during the shootings at one time as Mr. Lucas.
But they didn't get that part in the show, and made a shoot again. She explained this later in a magazine, that she adressed him one time as Mr. Lucas.

That would have been hilarious to see that !!!!
