In episode 53, "Sweet Smell of Success", Mrs. Peacocks name is Diana King. In episode 60, "Grounds for Divorce," her name is Diana Lambert. I think they were 2 different people. The one in eppy 53 looks younger.
The question above is one asked to me by my mom. I think they're the same person and she got married. I told her I'd post it on here because with all the experts we have I know I'd get the correct answer.
Thanks in advance! :D

Personally, if she had the same attitude as her character, I don't know how Diana King could ever get married!
But seriously, Diana Lambert was in an earlier episode, but she played a customer. I think it was "Fifty Years On", when they celebrate Mrs.Slocombe's birthday. Now Grainger and Lucas were still in the episode then. But in "Sweet Smell of Success", Diana King attempts to play Mrs.Peacock, and Spooner is in this episode, so timewise, it couldn't be possible!

Thanks for the info Assistant 134!
I researched a little further by actually watching my dvd's and found that it was "Fifty Years On" when Lambert was a customer. She ended up buying that faux mink scarf thing that Mrs.Slocombe wanted them to buy her.

Yes, she did have a rather masculine appearance, didn't she?
Although Diana King also had a masculine appearance to me too!

Ha, that's the truth.
I often wondered what their relationship was like at home.
In public, she wears the trousers, but I wonder what they are like in private.

Aww, come on wibs. Dontcha think he's quite sexy? Truth be told I've never been attracted to any of the Grace Bros. men. I like them for their comedic talent because they sure weren't handsome or sexy. Which is one of the things I like about British comedies. They use real people instead of people who have had everything pushed and pulled by plastic surgeons.

Back on the topic of The Two Mrs. Peacocks....
We did a poll a while back on our old board, and Diana King was the hands down fave for the role. I liked King better, but Lambert was pretty good, too. I don't quite understand how anyone could think they were the same woman, though. :o They look and sound nothing alike!

Diana King played very good in 'Oh, what a tangled web', one off the best starring roles ever I think.
King also played in an episode of George and Mildred.
I think that King did no play in the 1985-serie's because she already was sick, in 1986 she died.

This would be a good one to list in "AYBS? Mentions on other shows"
