The Palace has launched an offical YouTube channel:
http://www.youtube.com/theroyalchannel

The Queen's Christmas speech will be shown on it tomorrow.

Good stuff Minki. Thanks so much. I read in the paper that the Queen would broadcast the Christmas message on you-tube,but I didn't know that old one from 1757 was available.

1757? Gosh she's old! :)

Sorry- I just couldn't resist. I do have a terrible sense of humor sometimes ;-)

Yes thanks Minki! Oh and (OT) I did hear through the grapevine that the signing of the Declaration of Independence would be put on YouTube shortly. To coincide with the Queen's 1757 Christmas message.

Right, all of you making fun of the poor Queen...don't blame me if she gets mad ;)

Seriously, she did recently become the oldest monarch, passing Queen Victoria. Not much longer until she becomes the longest reigning monarch.

Don't worry-you wouldn't be the first or last to do this. Many other people have put "17 something" instead of "19 something" either verbally or written. Maybe we yearn for the old days the way the world is going?

I guess you're yearning for the old days as well ;)

Though to be honest, she's been around for so long I'm not surprised people might do that--for most people, she's the only queen they've ever known in their lifetime. You'd have to be older than 55 to have had another queen (or correctly, a king) under your belt.

Are you poking fun at me MInki?

Minki is absolutely right and that was another reason for my initial response. She seems to have been around for eternity.

I don't think she's poking fun at you at all- just being frank. :)
