Glad you're finally getting to see it !! I like it myself, took a bit of getting used to them not being in the store but a good follow up to the exploits of the staff !!

I watched G&F for the first time a few years ago in the DVDs I purchased, and I was finally happy to see it. Glad you finally got to watch it for yourself! :)
By the way, thanks for giving out the link! I was looking through it and it's awesome! :)

I really love G&F. If anyone gets the chance to visit Chavenage House, near Tetbury, where the series was filmed, please go. Everyone there was so nice to us. I fell in love with that part of England while we were there 8 years ago and am itching to return. I have some pix from that trip on my website.

it grows on you. AYBS hits you straight away.
i got the 2DVD set from ebay a few months back and didnt think much of it at first, but now i love it.
pity Lucas wasnt in it, though. although to this day, mr moulterd annoys the **** of me. i love Harmon, but didnt think much of Mash, but moulterd just seems to go overboard

I brought out my DVD of AYBSA a few days ago. I enjoy it so much.
That Mr. Moulterd cracks me up! That bit with him and Mrs. Slocombe in the chicken coop. The one when Mr. Slocombe was there looking to buy the manor and Mrs. Slocombe was going to hide in the basement.
Mr. Moulterd said something to her and she said, "Keep it down, Mr. Moulterd." And he said, "It's a job, with you about." OMG!
Also the whole Mr. Humphries and Mavis saga. When they were making gingerbread men together and she wanted to give him a little kiss first....
There he was with his eyes closed tight and opening one and looking around - opening the other and looking around..... he is priceless.

I just love G & F. I wish there were more eppys made. Also, I wish Trevor Bannister would have joined them! :)

When these episodes were first broadcast back in the 90s, I watched them, but they really didn't appeal to me. Recently, I've been watching them again (for the first time in 14 years or so), and I have to admit: they're pretty enjoyable. I think I just wasn't ready to see the staff outside the store when I first watched these episodes in the 90s.

Same here buddy. Like when they took M*A*S*H out of combat and put them in a hospital. It just didn't seem right.
^ God, I hated AfterMASH, it ruined 'Goodbye, Farewell & Amen'. Back to G&F, I love the way they took them out of the store and put them in a different environment, it opened up more jokes and stuff (random comment, sorry :))

No worries Eva.
I like GAF, it just took me awhile to adjust. The pecking order wasn't there as much which was well needed and I really didn't gel with the whole Humphries/Mavis thing.

Got the DVD and love the show since I guess I prefer the country over the city. :)
The PBS station here airs it once in awhile too which is a neat bonus!
