Old Friends

The Wibster did this for his little Wibbly's out there. While watching Grace and Favour, I noticed there were a few Old Friends on the show so I did up some pictures to show you guys and gals !!!!

Donald Morley was Mr. Clegg, late of the C.I.D. on the AYBS? eppy "Big Brother" and then we see him on Grace and Favour as Cecil Slocombe.

Gordon Peters was in the AYBS? eppy's "Cold Store" (The Fawn Trouser dude) and "No Sale" (The husband that tells his wife she looked like a great big stuffed turkey !!!) He then appeared in Grace and Favour as Mr. Volpone (The waiter who worked on the train).

Paul Humpoletz was on the AYBS? eppy "The Hold Up" as one of the robbers. We see him on Grace and Favour as Henry Heathcliff (Malcolm's father)

Jeremy Lloyd, the man who started it all, was the man in the car yelling at Captain Peacock after Peacock took out the hedges.

OH MY GOD! I never even caught those! While watching Grace & Favour, I kinda felt like some of the actors looked familiar, but I never thought that I had seen them before on AYBS :eek:

Also The lawyer Mr. Thorpe, I think, was in "TO the manor born" with Penelope Keith...

The reason I think I caught a couple of these is that I watched both AYBS sets of DVDs in about a week and then immediately watched the AYBSA (GaF) DVDs in about a day.... less time to forget stuff......what?

Woah!! :o I JUST noticed Jeremy Lloyd the other night. Mom and I are enjoying AYBS? Again (she's not seen many of them....) and I was amazed to see him! :D I told her who he is in regard to the show. 8)

....I have no idea what verges are(except by context) or why he(JL'scharacter) would say Madcap... maybe that's why I couldn't pick out the words...no frame of reference.....I find that in a lot of brit-coms.
