My PBS station dropped Coupling!!!   :x :x :x

I managed to record all the episodes from series 1 and 2. And I had two episodes recorded from the 3rd series. But now my PBS station has decided to show Yes, Minister in it's place. I hope this doesn't last long.

I've never actually seen Coupling ... but I'm guessing it must be a good show judging from your reaction :?

I know I've seen Yes Minister though -- I thought it was decent.

Coupling (U.K.) is very similar to Friends (U.S.), except Coupling is a lot more sassy, naughty, and funny.

I may have to fork out some $$$ and buy the DVDs. :)

:x I hate it when they do that! One day your favorite series is there and the next day, POOF!, it's gone.

Tho, I too, have never seen Coupling, I can understand your frustration.

I've not seen the newly added show either, but usually when PBS does something like this I wind up enjoying the new-to-me show
.... eventually!! :)

Seems we share the same PBS station.

I never paid much attention to 'Coupling'...just occasionally watched it. Liked what I saw, little as it was.
I do wish the station would play more britcoms and less Antiques Roadshow. We shouldn't have to loose one show to watch another.

I never thought Coupling was all that funny. And I adore Yes, Minister. So I'd be happy if that was my station. ;)

I'm not even sure what our PBS station plays these days. They dropped AYBS? some years ago and I pretty much stopped watching.

My PBS station is the weirdest for its schedule. They change it way too often, especially when you just get comfy with a certain program. And they play shows in a very choppy fashion, like only once a week.

I may have to fork out some $$$ and buy the DVDs. :) That's the one thing I love about Britcoms in that they love to push to envelope a little further than American comedies and a prime example of that is every time Mrs. Slocombe says "pussy". If AYBS was an American production (and thank God it's wasn't), the network execs would be popping the tablets.

Oh and Welcome to the board Tank !!! I see you're a fellow PA'er !!!! A fellow PA'er that misses AYBS. A few years ago WVIA (Northeast PA's PBS affiliate) used to have a full hour of AYBS at 11 PM, then they put on Keeping Up Appearances for 11 and AYBS at 11:30. Then they were replaced by Charlie Rose.

Tank you need to give up one of your luxuries and buy the DVD's. How long can you go without food?

Yes, the DVD's are a life saver for me. They only show AYBS? on PBS about twice a week for me. And they cancelled it and KUA on YTV for Gilmore Girls.

Tank you need to give up one of your luxuries and buy the DVD's. How long can you go without food? I have no luxuries. I'm on public assistance (euphemism for "welfare" ) due to disability and I'm down to one meal a week.
